Video Review: Mula Gang feat. Styles P – “Say That”

After watching Mula Gang’s video for their single “Say That,” I was left with fairly satisfied. The opening, filmed in black and white, introduces the young men lying on the floor in what looks like a living room. As the narrator speaks, the guys all get up and move swiftly out the door. Without giving away any more of the video, I’ll just say that the three main rappers in the video, Styles P, Toddy, and Skee each have a flow that keeps listeners engaged. The transition from bar to bar is smooth and the lyrics actually make sense. The locations where the video was shot were simple and laid back. Nothing over the top or luxurious, this was essentially intriguing. My only suggestion is that next time, there be an equal balance of shots with full color and black and white. The black and white, in my opinion, would have worked perfectly throughout the entire video. Other than that, they did a good job. I look forward to hearing more music from Mula Gang. Check out their video and let me know what you think.
