Football superstar Michael Vick signs $100 Million Contract
From once being the most targeted man of so much disgust and hatred, 31 year old Michael Vick is once again in the spotlight. Only this time, it isn’t dealing with arrests and court dates. I’m proud to announce that Vick has decided to sign a six year/$100 million ($ 40 million guaranteed) contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. After the completion of his 18 month sentence in federal prison on dog fighting charges, the Eagles did what many other teams dared not to; they took a very risky chance on Vick. Dealing with bankruptcy at the time, Vick and his ongoing messy situations weren’t particularly admirable; yet, the Eagles players and executives welcomed him with open arms.
After five long months of being a third-string quarterback, Vick made an incredible climb to the top. Being the hardworking and determined man he is, Michael Vick was the starting quarterback in the Pro Bowl and even guided the Eagles to the NFC East title last year. I commend Vick on his continuous efforts to regain a clean-slate in this industry. With nonstop hard work and the right people believing you deserve a second chance, your chances at success are endless.
